Everyone I know is getting eaten alive by what are evidently the creation of some sort of extra-governmental breeding program, pairing some variety of insect with some sort of mid-size canine (judging from the divots left in the flesh) animal…
I actually believe it has something to do with budget cuts. There’s nobody carrying around signs reading, “Save the Mosquito Abatement District” (I think there are just a lot of mosquitos, and some bites get infected from scratching). I’ve heard stories from three different counties in the Northern Sierra foothills, so it can’t just be coincidence.
