This is some figure skating by a young woman I met in San Mateo. She’s quite good, and she seems like a very nice person to boot. She had the video posted on YouTube, but nobody was able to find it there. I told her I’d post it on my blog & see what happened. Her video immediately went to #s 1 and 2 in the Google Rankings. #3 was some gal named Peggy Fleming…
The camera was hand-held by her father, in case you notice a little camera shake here.
The guy in the second segment is Olympic bronze medal winner Charlie Tickner.

Believe it or not, I used to ice skate a lot when I was a kid. I was actually pretty good, too. I haven’t done it since, though, so I’m sure I’d take a nose-dive onto the ice.
